New contract reached for Legal Services Society workers in B.C.
Vancouver (11 Feb. 2013) - Members of the B.C. Government and Service Employees' Union (BCGEU/NUPGE) have reached a tentative agreement with the employer, B.C. Legal Services Society (LSS).
Negotiations achieved improvements to the sick leave plan, meal and vehicle allowances, compassionate care leave and health benefits. Members will receive wage increases of six per cent over the life of the agreement, and are retroactive to April 1, 2012.
A ratification vote will take place on February 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the LSS boardroom.
