Community social services workers in B.C. organize for upcoming bargaining.

Vancouver (01 Oct. 2013) - The B.C. Government and Service Employees' Union (BCGEU/NUPGE) is conducting a survey to find out about the priorities of members working in the community social services sector for the next round of bargaining.

BCGEU/NUPGE prepares for bargaining for community social services members

The Community Social Services collective agreement expires on March 31, 2014. The bargaining survey is an opportunity for all members to provide input about the changes members want in the next collective agreement. The survey focuses on members' priorities regarding benefits, scheduling, and compensation improvements.

The electronic survey is short. It will take no more than 10 minutes to complete. The survey process is entirely confidential. Responses will be aggregated, and will help develop the priorities at the bargaining table with the employer.

The deadline for completing the bargaining survey is November 1, 2013.
