BCGEU President speaks out on liquor sales in grocery stores

The BCGEU is urging British Columbians to join them in ensuring alcohol is sold responsibly in communities by visiting the site Reconsider Grocery Store Liquor Sales (link is external) and sign up to be notified when the issue comes to your council.

Vancouver (12 Aug. 2016) — The British Columbia Government and Service Employees' Union (BCGEU/NUPGE) is urging municipal governments to limit grocery store sales of wine by passing a 1-kilometer distance rule for all alcohol retailers. 

BCGEU President Stephanie Smith has released a video explaining the arguments in favour of the distance rule.
