Free Day at Manitoba Museum a huge success

Almost 2300 MGEU/NUPGE members and their families took in the free day at the museum to explore the galleries, planetarium and science gallery. This was a record breaking attendance over the average 1600 attendees in the last 3 years.

Winnipeg (7 May 2014) - The Manitoba Government and General Employees' Union (MGEU/NUPGE) is declaring this year’s Family Fun Day at the Manitoba Museum a huge success.

This past Sunday, May 4th, the MGEU/NUPGE hosted a free day at the museum for members and their families to enjoy. Almost 2300 members and their families took in the free day at the museum to explore the galleries, planetarium and science gallery. This was a record breaking attendance over the average 1600 attendees in the last three years.

The MGEU/NUPGE represents about 70 members at the Manitoba Museum and through the MGEU/NUPGE’s value-added discounts program, the union is able to offer reduced or free admission to various events and concerts throughout the year around Manitoba. All MGEU/NUPGE members receive a 20% discount on a one-year Manitoba Museum membership.
