HSAA members at Calgary Laboratory Services accept contract

HSAA/NUPGE members at Calgary Laboratory Services accept renewed collective agreement.

Edmonton (12 July 2012) - On June 29, office and clerical members of the Health Sciences Association of Alberta (HSAA/NUPGE) employed by Calgary Laboratory Services (CLS) voted to accept the tentative agreement reached on June 14, 2012.

Members will be receiving their retroactive payments as well as the negotiated lump sum payment by August 24, 2012. The employer will send information to members shortly. HSAA/NUPGE advises CLS members to keep an eye on their pay cheques to ensure everything is correct.

Members should also be advised that the benefits negotiated in the agreement will become effective on August 1, 2012.

Former employees of CLS who may be eligible for the retroactive pay (those who were employed between January 1, 2012 and June 29, 2012) can apply for retroactivity by contacting CLS Payroll.

The deadline to apply is July 29, 2012. Please note that ONLY former employees need to apply. All current CLS employees will have retroactivity automatically calculated.
