HSABC prepares for new round of bargaining

November conference will set the stage for negotiations to replace the current collective agreement which expires on March 31, 2010.

Vancouver (17 Sept. 2009) - The Health Sciences Association of British Columbia (HSABC/NUPGE) will hold a bargaining proposal conference Nov. 8-10 to prepare for the next round of contract bargaining on behalf of health science professionals across the province. Their current collective agreement expires March 31, 2010.

Elections for delegates to the conference will be held at regional meetings that began this week and will continue until the latter part of October. A full schedule is available on the HSABC website.

All members governed by the Health Science Professionals Bargaining Association (HSPBA) collective agreement are eligible to run for election as delegates to the conference.

However, only delegates to the regional meetings are eligible to vote in the election of representatives to the conference. Everyone interested is urged to attend his or her regional meeting.
