MGEU members at Canadian Blood Services reach tentative agreement

logo of the Manitoba Government and General Employees' Union (MGEU/NUPGE)Winnipeg (25 Sept. 2014) — On September 17, members of the Manitoba Government and General Employees' Union (MGEU/NUPGE) employed by Canadian Blood Services reached a tentative 3-year agreement. 

Three-year tentative agreement reached; ratification vote will take place mid-October

Details of the agreement will be mailed to all members with meeting notices and ballots in the next few weeks.

The ratification vote will take place by mail-in ballot, but members can choose to bring their ballots and vote at information meetings that will be held on October 14 in Winnipeg and October 15 in Brandon. Ballots will be counted on October 16 in Winnipeg. 

Members of the affected MGEU Locals 200 and 400 are encouraged to update their contact information to ensure they receive a copy of the new contract once available.
