NAPE members vote to accept tentative agreements

Members of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE/NUPGE) in 14 public sector bargaining units have voted to accept their tentative agreements.

St. John's (13 Feb. 2009) - According to NAPE president Carol Furlong, each contract offers wage increases of eight, four, four, and four over a four year term.  

The bargaining units in question are Air Services, College of the North Atlantic Support Staff, College of the North Atlantic Supported Employment Program, General Service, Group Homes, Health Professionals, Hospital Support Staff, Laboratory and X-Ray, Maintenance and Operational Services, Marine Services, Newfoundland Liquor Corporation, School Boards, Student Assistants and Ushers at the Arts and Cultuer Centres.
