Program review at NBCC to impact NBU members

Union will ensure collective agreement is respected.

Fredericton (14 Jan. 2015) — The New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) has announced changes to its program offerings. This will have a direct impact on New Brunswick Union (NBU/NUPGE) members.

NBU/NUPGE will work to minimize impact on affected college members and their families

“Our members are dedicated to their work and the union’s main goal throughout this process is to work diligently with the employer to minimize the impact on our members and their families,” said NBU President Susie Proulx-Daigle.

“We understand that changes such as these can be very stressful for members. We can assure those  affected that our labour relations officers will work diligently with them and the employer to assure proper union representation, and to make sure the collective agreement is respected.”

The NBU/NUPGE represents NBCC instructors, academic instructors, trade instructors, as well as administrative and program support workers, information technology employees, deans, department heads, guidance counsellors, curriculum development officers and program development officers.
