Sign the petition to repeal Bill C-51

BCGEU/NUPGE is circulating a petition to remind Prime Minister Trudeau of his promise to get rid of Bill C-51.

Vancouver (13 Nov. 2015) — In early October, the B.C. Government and Service Employees' Union (BCGEU/NUPGE) relaunched its campaign against Bill C-51 in order to make it an issue during the federal election.

Keep the Liberals to their campaign promise of repealing Bill C-51

Bill C-51, supposedly designed to "protect" Canadians from terrorist attacks, gave the federal government more ways to access our personal information, monitor our lives, and interfere in our daily actions.

Despite voting for the bill when it went to the House of Commons, the Liberals campaigned on a promise to repeal it if elected. Now that Prime Minister Trudeau is in office, it is important to keep the government to their promise.

How can you help?

You can help by signing this petition that will tell the Prime Minister and all Members of Parliament that they need to repeal this legislation.

You can also spread the word on social media, via email, and by talking to your friends and family about the implications of Bill C-51 and why it needs to be repealed.
