Attention students! $1,000 OPSEU Mental Health Division bursary/award for new logo design

Student bursary up for grabs with new mental health division logo design contest!

Toronto (02 Feb. 2012) - The Mental Health Division of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU/NUPGE) is offering $1000 post-secondary school bursary/award to the winner of its logo design contest!

The contest has a few requirements.

The logo should:

  • be simple yet distinctive;
  • depict the "person-centered philosophy" of our mental health care system; and
  • be symbolic of the future of Ontario's mental health system.

The logo may be hand drawn or computer generated. If computer generated, submissions need to include the digital file.

The applicant must currently be studying at a publicly-funded, publicly-run post-secondary institution in Ontario within any program which could lead to employment within the Ontario mental health services.

The applicant, along with their design, will submit a short essay (no more than 750 words). The essay will comment upon and explain the artists' design as well as include an answer to the following question:

If you could allocate additional funding to one specific area within the mental health system in Ontario, which area would you choose and why?

All entries to include copy of Student ID and verification of courses being taken.

All entries to be received before March 1, 2012 and are to be mailed to:
