Expert Commission on Pensions releases research papers

Seventeen research papers  on topics ranging from the funding, taxation, and governance of pension plans, to comparative models of risk-based industries and guarantee funds.

Toronto (29 Jan. 2008) – The Ontario Expert Commission on Pensions (OECP) has released the research papers it commissioned as part of its research program.

The OECP has commissioned 17 research projects in total, many of which provide cross-jurisdictional analysis on topics ranging from the funding, taxation, and governance of pension plans, to comparative models of risk-based industries and guarantee funds. Topics providing a provincial focus include an analysis of income security during retirement in Ontario, a discussion of trends in pension coverage in the province, and an examination of the efficiency and effectiveness of the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.

These papers provide are a valuable resource for those working or interested in the field of pensions both within Ontario as well as in the rest of Canada.
