Home care workers continue to choose NAPE as union

NAPE/NUPGE certified to represent home care workers with Exploits Homecare Agenc.

 Slogo for the Newfoundland and Labrador Assocation of Public and Private Employees (NAPE/NUPGE)t. John's (08 May 2012) – The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE/NUPGE) has been certified by the Labour Relations Board as the bargaining agent for home care workers with Exploits Homecare Agency, located in Grand Falls – Windsor.

There are 32 employees working in communities included in the Central Regional Integrated Health Authority. The bulk of the workers are from the Grand Falls – Windsor area but are also located in Springdale, Botwood, Lewisporte, Norris Arm and Gander.

This is the twenty-fifth group of home care workers that have voted to join NAPE/NUPGE.
