HSAA reports progress in EMS transition bargaining

'Non-monetary items have now been agreed to, with a monetary package expected to be tabled by the employer at upcoming negotiating sessions.'

Edmonton (15 Sept. 2009) - The Health Sciences Association of Alberta (HSAA/NUPGE) says progress is being made in ongoing emergency medical services (EMS) transition bargaining sessions with Alberta Health Services (AHS). 

"Non-monetary items have now been agreed to, with a monetary package expected to be tabled by the employer at upcoming negotiating sessions scheduled for Sept. 24-25," HSAA says in an update posted on its website.

"If necessary, additional bargaining dates will be determined for October. The two parties have held six negotiating sessions to date."
