Canadian Blood Services rejects union members' proposals to find operational efficiencies, focusing instead on dismantling workforce

Although the bargaining team tabled initiatives that would help the employer find operational efficiencies, the employer rejected them. The employer also turned down OPSEU job security proposals.

CBS is determined to dismantle its workforce. The employer has been vocal about its plan to lay off full-time workers and replace them with part-time workers.

The bargaining team is now considering its options. Details on next steps will follow in the coming days.
