NSGEU members at the Elizabeth Fry Society reach tentative agreement

logo for the Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union (NSGEU)Halifax (05 Sept. 2014) — On August 12, a tentative collective agreement was reached between members of the Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union (NSGEU/NUPGE) and the Elizabeth Fry Society.

NSGEU/NUPGE bargaining committee recommends acceptance of renewed collective agreement with wage increases and improvements to contract language

The NSGEU/NUPGE bargaining committee is recommending acceptance of the tentative agreement, which provides for wage increases of 0.5% and 1.5% over a three-year period, as well as improvements to some contract language.

There will be a drop-in information session and ratification vote at the NSGEU head office at 255 John Savage Avenue in Dartmouth on September 8 from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Affected members are ecouraged to drop in at any time between those hours to find out more about the agreement, ask questions, and cast a vote. This will be the only opportunity to vote on the proposed agreement.
