NSGEU presents nursing research to members

Nursing members: Be sure your contact information is on file to participate.

Halifax (01 May 2013) – The Nova Scotia Government & General Employees Union (NSGEU/NUPGE) will be releasing internal research about issues affecting registered and licensed practical nurses during a telephone townhall on May 2.

Nursing research

After hearing repeated concerns about workload, scheduling and stress in the workplace from NSGEU/NUPGE nursing members, the union conducted in-depth research to help get to the root of these issues. Through a series of focus groups and on-line surveys, the union has some very interesting findings to share.

NSGEU President to host townhall

The telephone townhall will be hosted by NSGEU President Joan Jessome starting at 7:30 p.m. on May 2. Members will hear about the research as well as ways to tackle the issues.

Participating is easy. The union will call nursing members at the beginning of the meeting. Once the information has been presented, members will have the opportunity to ask questions and make comments, just like on a radio call-in show. The meeting will last about 60 minutes, but members can leave at any time simply by hanging up.

Get in touch with the union to be sure your contact information is up-to-date.
