Ratification ballots were counted by the negotiation committee the afternoon of August 28. Subsequent to the vote being held a strong 79 per cent majority in favour of the new agreement was declared.

President Bovyer said she is pleased with the response of the membership and the resounding approval of what she believes to be a strong agreement given the current fiscal restraint of government.

President Bovyer thanks all the members of the team for their hard work during negotiations and congratulates all of the public sector employees who will benefit over the coming years.
