The members of Local 88 of the Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union (NSGEU/NUPGE) voted 87.5% to accept a settlement reached as the strike deadline grew near.

"We are very pleased to reach a collective agreement that is acceptable to the membership of this new Local," says NSGEU president Joan Jessome.

Local 88 was certified in December of 2009.
