Tentative agreement reached for MGEU members

The agreement includes wage increases in each year of the agreement, as well as new language on travel compensation, performance appraisals and maternity leave.

Winnipeg (21 Dec. 2012) — Members of the Manitoba Government and General Employees' Union (MGEU/NUPGE) employed by Unionware reached a tentative four year agreement with their employer in mid-December.

The agreement includes wage increases in each year of the agreement, as well as new language on travel compensation, performance appraisals and maternity leave.

The bargaining committee is now preparing a ratification document with complete details of the new agreement and has scheduled a ratification meeting for January 8 from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. in the workplace. Meeting notices will be mailed out this week with more details.

In the meantime, members are encouraged to update their contact information here to ensure they receive a copy of the new contract once available.
