The growing opposition of Canadians to Bill C-51, the "secret police" legislation, has forced the Conservative government to accept some amendments. Canadians must keep up the pressure.
"While Canadians are disturbed by recent violence, many are more concerned with the lack of well paying jobs, cuts to public services, crumbling infrastructure and access to timely health care. This government is determined to change that channel at any cost. And the cost may be that we will end up less safe than we are today." — James Clancy, NUPGE National President.
