St. John's (25 March 2015) — Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE/NUPGE) President Carol Furlong is expressing her concern about a recent development at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in St. John’s that is negatively affecting medical laboratory assistants, as well as violating the workers' collective agreement.

The Nova Scotia Nursing Strategy is being updated to ensure enough experienced nurses are retained across the province for the needs of the residents.
