HSABC Women's Committee survey: identifying barriers to participation

Women members: fill out survey and win prizes!

Vancouver (23 April 2013) – Have you ever considered getting more involved in the union but felt you couldn't, for a variety of reasons?

The Women's Committee of the Health Sciences Association of B.C. (HSABC/NUPGE) is conducting a survey of women in the union to identify barriers that may keep them from participating in union leadership roles and/or union activities (e.g. meetings, education). The Women's Committee hopes to use the survey results in working to eliminate these barriers. We will be conducting an on-line poll beginning Monday and ending on May 1.

Your responses will be kept confidential.

PRIZES: The first 20 respondents will receive an HSABC/NUPGE prize package. All respondents will be entered in a draw for a fabulous Café Etico gift basket (fair trade chocolate, coffee/tea).

To participate in the poll, please check your email for an invitation that will be sent April 15. The invitation will include a link to the online poll.

Members who have not provided their home e-mail addresses to the union will not be invited to participate. However, if members provide their personal email address by April 22 at 5 p.m., they will be included in a second round of invitations.

If you do not receive an invitation email, please send your full name and email address to memberlist@hsabc.organd put "Women's Committee survey invitation request" in the subject line.
