NSGEU women's conference set for April 15-17

'Counting Women In .. NSGEU Women Do Great Things.'

Halifax (2 Feb. 2011) - The 12th annual Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union (NSGEU/NUPGE) women's conference will be held April 15-17 at the Debert Hospital Centre. The theme this year is "Counting Women In .. NSGEU Women Do Great Things."

The purpose of this conference is to provide women members of NSGEU the knowledge and skills to take a more active and assertive role in their union, workplaces and their lives.

Registration begins at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 15, with dinner for all participants. Those attending are encouraged to stay on site to facilitate participation in all events. For those bringing children, child care can be made available. However, there is limited double occupancy those with child care needs are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
