The Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU/NUPGE) urges the public to show its love for public plowing by joining the Twitter rally on February 14.
Toronto (13 Feb. 2018) — The Ontario auditor general found that privatization giants like Carillion were slow, making our highways dangerous. And now that Carillion is collapsing financially, there is at least one report that it can't even keep its plows operating — adding to the danger.
It's time for us to make plowing public again.
So this Valentine's Day — Wednesday, February 14 — join us in a Twitter rally between noon and 1 p.m.
Here's a tweet you can use:
I love #publicplowing. Private snow plowing can’t be trusted. Bring Carillion and all private plowing back in-house. Don’t make the same privatization mistake again. @Kathleen_Wynne and @Kathryn_McGarry #Public=Better #weownit #onpoli
