MGEU will hold biennial convention Oct. 22-23

Delegates representing more than 200 union locals from across Manitoba are scheduled to attend.

Winnipeg (8 Oct. 2010) - The Manitoba Government and General Employees' Union (MGEU/NUPGE) holds its biennial convention Oct. 22-23 at the Winnipeg Convention Centre.

More than 200 locals across the province have elected delegates to attend the convention, which will establish policies and chart the direction of the union over the next two years.

Key sessions at the convention will include the election of officers, including the president and four vice-presidents, and voting on resolutions submitted by union committees, area councils, component executives and locals.
