“It was a total team effort. It’s very exciting for a group to negotiate and get its first contract completed." — Susie Proulx-Daigle, NBU President

Fredericton (05 March 2019) — The staff of Orchard View Long Term Care Home made history recently when they officially signed their first collective agreement.
The contract was made official with a ceremony on February 28.

“I want to thank the bargaining team for working so hard on behalf of their colleagues,” said Susie Proulx-Daigle, President of the New Brunswick Union (NBU/NUPGE), which now represents the workers.

“It was a total team effort. It’s very exciting for a group to negotiate and get its first contract completed," Proulx-Daigle said.

Orchard View professionals work in Gagetown to ensure those residing at the long-term care facility receive the best care possible in a safe and welcoming environment.
