PEIUPSE/NUPGE members fighting forest fires in Ontario.
Charlottetown (22 August 2018) — The PEI Union of Public Sector Employees (PEIUPSE/NUPGE) thanks the brave firefighters who have been (or are still) deployed in Ontario this summer battling wildfires.
Some of these fires are huge. The Parry Sound 33 fire covered over 11,000 hectares.
Karen Jackson, PEI UPSE President, congratulates the firefighters for joining the Ontario crews and lending a helping hand.
The National Union of Public and General Employees (NUPGE) is one of Canada's largest labour organizations with over 390,000 members. Our mission is to improve the lives of working families and to build a stronger Canada by ensuring our common wealth is used for the common good. — NUPGE
