Ratification vote for HSAA members at Calgary Laboratory Services

Improvements included in tentative agreement with Calgary Laboratory Services.

logo for Health Sciences Association of Alberta (HSAA/NUPGE)Edmonton (22 June 2012) - The Health Sciences Association of Alberta (HSAA/NUPGE) will be conducting a ratification vote for members employed by Calgary Laboratory Services (CLS) on June 29, 2012. The vote will be conducted at a series of onsite votes at each of the five major sites (Alberta Children’s Hospital, Peter Lougheed Centre, Rocky General Hospital, Foothills Medical Centre and the Diagnostic and Scientific Centre).

The tentative agreement contains wage increases of three per cent in 2012, 2012 and 2014. Highlight of the agreement include increases in mileage reimbursements, increased health benefits, improvements in hours of work and new language relating to part-time employee vacation accrual.

Members are encouraged to attend an information session on June 28 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Brentwood Room at Village Park Inn, 1804 Crowchild Trail NW to have any questions regarding the tentative agreement answered.
