NAPE members at Springdale Town Council negotiate improvements to collective agreement

NAPE/NUPGE members with Springdale Town Council ratify four year collective agreement with 13 per cent wage increase.

St. John's (23 Nov. 2012) – Employees of the Springdale Town Council have ratified their new collective agreement. The employees are represented by the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE/NUPGE).

According to NAPE President Carol Furlong, members have ratified the new agreement which includes an average wage increase of five per cent, three per cent, three per cent and two per cent over four years, as well as improvements in the leave and protective clothing provisions.

The agreement is effective January 1, 2013 and expires December 31, 2016.
