Environmental issues are disproportionately affecting women and gender diverse people, particularly those who are racialized, Indigenous, living in poverty, or living with disabilities.

Although this relationship has long been observed by communities and activists on the ground, it is still just emerging in policy and research discussions.

This paper provides an overview of these gendered impacts.
