Winnipeg (21 Dec. 2012) — Members of the Manitoba Government and General Employees' Union (MGEU/NUPGE) employed by Unionware reached a tentative four year agreement with their employer in mid-December. The agreement includes wage increases in each year of the agreement, as well as new language on travel compensation, performance appraisals and maternity leave.The bargaining committee is now preparing a ratification document with complete details of the new agreement and has scheduled a ratification meeting for January 8 from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. in the workplace. Meeting notices will be mailed out this week with more details.In the meantime, members are encouraged to update their contact information here to ensure they receive a copy of the new contract once available.
