Tentative deal with Canadian Blood Services - MGEU

'The negotiating committee feels that this is the best deal available at this time.'

Winnipeg (21 April 2010) - The Manitoba Government and General Employees' Union (MGEU/NUPGE) has negotiated a tentative agreement with Canadian Blood Services on behalf of members in MGEU Local 200. The proposed settlement was reached with the help of a conciliator.

"The agreement includes improvements to wages and benefits as well as the creation of two new classifications: phlebotomist and donor care assistant," MGEU says. "The negotiating committee feels that this is the best deal available at this time. Therefore, the committee is recommending acceptance."
