Prairie School for Union Women to be held June 13-17

Offering trade union women an intensive four days of learning and sharing in a supportive environment.

Regina (4 March 2010) - The Prairie School for Union Women will take place June 13-17 at Waskesiu Lake and applications are now open. Information is available at the links below.

The school offers trade union women an intensive four days of learning and sharing in a supportive environment. The goals of the school are to develop women’s personal and leadership skills and to build solidarity among women workers.

The Prairie School for Union Women

The school provides on-site child care and is committed to child-friendly attitudes. Who Can Attend? The school is open to all women who are long-time activists or who are just starting to get involved in union activities. Enrollment for the 2010 School is limited to 150. Participants will be registered on a first-come first-serve basis.

The Saskatchewan Government and General Employees' Union (SGEU/NUPGE) is sponsoring six women for the 2010 school - one from each of its six sectors.
